The Sunderman Conservatory Symphony Orchestra will be "Celebrating a Century of Rhapsody in Blue." In addition to Gershwin's Rhapsody in Blue, the ensemble will also be performing Copland's Outdoor Overture, Bernstein's Dances from West Side Story, and Still's The Far West from The American Scene under the baton of Dr. Cesar Leal. Another highlight will be a special guest appearance from Dr. Jocelyn Swigger as the piano soloist for Rhapsody in Blue! Tickets are free for those under 18 and with a Gettysburg College ID, and $5 for everyone else. We hope to see you there!

The Gettysburg College Symphony Orchestra forms the core of the orchestral program at the Sunderman Conservatory at Gettysburg College. The orchestra performs a wide variety of works that reflect both the high performance standards at the Sunderman Conservatory and the orchestra's place within the broader liberal arts community of Gettysburg College.

The ensemble is committed to providing a platform for both student and faculty soloists at the Sunderman Conservatory. Student soloists are selected through the annual Sunderman Conservatory Concerto Competition. Additionally, the College Symphony Orchestra is dedicated to performing new music, including world premieres.

Tickets will be available starting one week prior to the show at the Box Office, 25 Carlisle St., Gettysburg, or by calling (717) 337-8200.
